2024 Spring-Summer

ABOUT

The Keep Moving Cross Country and Track and Field Club has recently opened its doors as the newest USATF XC/Track and Field Club on the South Shore. Geared towards youth athletes aged 6-18, this club aims to teach and nurture those who have an interest in competing in Cross Country and Track & Field. With a focus on running, jumping and field events, athletes will be guided by a team of certified and experienced coaches, including current and former NCAA coaches, and current NCAA student-athletes. The upcoming Track and Field Spring Season begins with an April Break Clinic (4/16 & 4/18) and continues through July.

Youth (ages 6-12)

There is a cap of 60 athletes for this age group, and spots are allocated on a first come, first serve basis. Season officially launches in early May.

 

Club (ages 13-18)

Club athletes may try out for the season. Tryouts will be held at Randolph HS on June 4th and 6th from 7pm-8:30pm.

Qualifying For Junior Olympics

In order to qualify athletes must participate in:

  1. USATF NE Junior Olympics at Fitchburg- 6/22

  2. USATF Region 1 7/5 - 7/7

Meets

For youth athletes between the ages of 7-12, the meets will begin in May and the registration fee covers the cost of 3 meets. The club plans to compete in various meets including 5K's, fun runs, and other events throughout spring and summer. However, families will be responsible for covering any additional meets/events beyond the included three.

 

Club athletes between the ages of 13-18 will begin meets in June, and the registration fee also covers the cost of 3 meets. Any other meets outside of these three will be at the expense of the families. The meet fees vary between $10-$30 per athlete per meet, and the meets usually occur on Saturday mornings, but may vary. Those invited to join the club will receive a full meet calendar to plan accordingly.

Membership

  • USATF Membership ($36 value) is required. For convenience it is included in registration

  • Families will need to create a USATF membership account, complete a training and upload the child's birth certificate. KMXCTF Staff will assist in this process.
